Alan Willett
Alan Willett is the master of the "friction points" of organizations highly dependent on technology. This ranges from organizations that create world-class software products to the organization that uses those products to create their own competitive advantage. What is a friction point? It is the space where the technology needs and the business needs meet, sometimes with harmony and often with discordant collisions. Either way, there is always heat generated. Alan is the expert who transforms organizational friction points to produce positive results for the business and the people that create and use the technology.

Today we welcome Anthony Bailey and Co- Founder of Entheogen Biotech to the TrueLife podcast. They have established a library with strains as strong as 4.4% tryptamine content. In establishing our library of over 100 strains of fungi we've established analytic techniques to determine tryptamine contents at home for up to 2% tryptamine and new methods using each HPLC's and Q NMR's machines. Our most unique offering is strain of mycelium that we stumbled upon in our breeding process, this particular strain produces psilocybin. We then took this strain and grew it in a bioreactor producing psilocybin in one-week versus the traditional eight-week life cycle of psilocybin. Now we embark on commercialising our findings and bring them to market their legal jurisdiction permits.

My career as an educator and author has brought me far and wide--from growing up in the Bronx, NY, to teaching in Spearfish, SD, and Troy, NY, to my current position in Newport News, VA. In addition to my work in the classroom, I have held many administrative positions, and have written and spoken on a variety of subjects from medieval mysticism to faculty evaluation, from Shakespeare to Paul Valéry. I am particularly interested in the ways technology has influenced modern life--in both good and bad ways--in everything from the ways we read, learn, and remember to the ways we engage in reflection and devotional practices. I am a lover of all things Flintstones, am a devotee of "The Odd Couple," "Northern Exposure," and "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin," and have always been a fan of the hapless and hopeless NY Jets. You can read my blog at "My Two Cents--Not That Anyone Asked."

https://normanbacal.com/ Welcome to my journey. At one point in my career I had it all. I had built and led one of Canada’s prestigious law firms. I was one of the most successful film finance lawyers in the country. I sat on the board of directors of a Hollywood studio and represented companies like Warner Bros, MGM, Sony, Lionsgate. Then in 2014 the bottom fell out. The law firm collapsed. It was devastating to watch what I spent twenty-five years building disappear – just like that. They say overcoming adversity builds character. I was about to find out.

Researcher interested in the questions: "In what capacity will the biosphere survive the coming centuries?" "How can homo sapiens step up and play a regenerative role instead of the current omnicidal one?" I'd love to participate in a professional setting with others that are interested in these questions. On an analytical and conceptual level (research, think tanks?) as well as on a practical and implemental level (coaching, workshops?). Spent the good part of the last ~12 years studying molecular biology and specializing in the microbial genetics. Over the last 3 years my interest shifted towards the macro scale : systems (both the anthroposphere and the biosphere which encompasses it).
